Early life
Dutta was born in a Punjabi family in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. Her father is Wing Commander L.K. Dutta (retired) and her mother is Jennifer Dutta. She also has two older sisters, one of whom serves in the Indian Air Force and a well known younger sister. Famed composer and DJ Nitin Sawhney is Dutta's cousin.[1] The Dutta family moved to Bangalore in 1981 where she completed high school from St.Francis Xavier Girls' High School. Lara graduated in economics with a minor in communications from University of Mumbai. She was crowned Miss Universe in 2000 which led to her appointment as a UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador in 2001.[2]

At Miss Universe 2000 in Cyprus, Dutta was the clear favourite ahead of fierce competition from Venezuela, Spain, USA and Canada. She achieved the highest score in the swimsuit competition and her finalist interview score was the highest individual score in any category in the history of the Miss Universe contest, as her perfect interview saw a majority of the judges giving her the maximum 9.99 mark. After her final question, in which Dutta delivered a passionate defense of the Miss Universe contest (and other beauty pageants), she became the second Indian Miss Universe.

Bindu Madhavi is a model and Indian film actresMadhavi was born in Madanapalle, Andhra Pradesh. She studied 10th class in vijayawada and degree in Vellore. She modeled for Tata gold Tanishq, where she was selected by Sekhar Kammula to act in his production film, Avakai Biryani. In 2009, she acted in the film, Bumper Offer, opposite Sairam Shankar. She has made her debut in the 2008 Telugu film, Avakai Biryani. She made her debut in the Shekhar Kamula Production Avakai Biryani (2008). She received good amount of appreciation for this movie. Bindu Madhavi the latest sensation of Tollywood. Avakaya’s success brought with it a horde of opportunities for the actress. In an industry that’s obsessed with Bollywood imports, making a mark wasn’t easy. But Bindu Madhavi, the sari-clad Telugu ammayi who played the role of a pickle seller in Shekhar Kammula’s Avakaya Biriyani not only won hearts in Tollywood but also accolades for her great performance.
“The problem with Tollywood is that everyone’s waiting to typecast you. Ever since Avakaya became a hit, I’ve been flooded with offers to play a village belle. I was forced to turned down every one of them.”
It was reported that she hiked her fee to an astronomical sum, causing producers to drop her like hot potato. She clarifies, “I heard those allegations too... Someone said I demanded Rs 1 crore for a film. If only it was true! They are all just baseless rumours.”
